Ok, I realized I haven’t posted about what I’ve been doing in a while so here’s a short breakdown:
-Went to Plymouth to my new favorite place “Cupcake Charlies” and got a delicious cupcake and milk, TWICE
-Went shopping for dorm stuff with my roomie and then with my mom. I can say with confidence we are going to have THE MOST colorful dorm at Stonehill.
– Went to Boston with my new friends from Stonehill (who i met at orientation) THREE TIMES. I’m so glad I’m making friends who are genuinely good people (though they make fun of my boston accent every chance they get!), I’ve told a couple of them about my CF and they are EXTREMELY understanding. My roommate is great about everything too, she understands that I can’t go out until I do my treatments, or that I REFUSE to share my drinks 🙂
-Stonehill was voted #7 Top Schools with the Happiest Students http://spotlight.encarta.msn.com/Features/encnet_Departments_College_default_article_TPRHappiest2010.html?GT1=27004
-Went to Boston again with my boyfriend for a Bone Density Test at Children’s (haven’t got the results back yet), the doc wanted me to get it done since i’m at risk for osteoporosis with cf. We spent the day in Boston since the appointment wasn’t until 4, and we walked around Fenway
before the sox game (though we didn’t go to the actual game) and had delicious burgers and fries from U-Burger (I highly recommend it, right across from Kenmore Station) It was pouring rain, so I got some cute rain boots from the Boston University book store, only to go outside to the clouds clearing! (but at least I have them for rainy days going to class!)
– Gone to a few graduation parties, I swear there is one every weekend. It’s nice to be with friends around a fire making s’mores and eating delicious catered/homemade food!
-I’ve been Reading/Watching Ronnie’s blog ( http://runsickboyrun.blogspot.com/ ) He’s great!
-My birthday’s coming up (August 5th) but I haven’t decided what I will do to celebrate.
-My brother is running the Falmouth Road Race for CF. We are busy fundraising with him. If you’d like to donate the website is http://www.cff.org/LWC/dsp_donationPage.cfm?idEvent=11176&idUser=33055 No donation is too small!
Here are some Pics!
