So I had an appointment with pulmonary today as a follow-up to my last one where I was sick with a cold. Well, my PFTs were up but my doctor thought I would definitely benefit from a clean-out given the fact that I have been coughing more at night/morning and having low-grade fevers throughout the day + being really tired. I’m past the point of initial surprise and expected that this would be best because I know my body very well!

So here weeee gooooo, I’m ready to handle a clean-out while in college, bring it on. I am going to live at home and commute to classes while hooking up my IVs with a schedule which goes around my classes.
THE BRIGHT SIDE:
-The 2 weeks will run into thanksgiving so I’m going to be home anyway
– My parents are very excited to get to see me every day for 2 full weeks
– I chose a college that is only about 15 minutes away which makes commuting easy
– I’ll be off campus for this swine flu craze
– The nurse here is FANTASTIC and can help with anything I need
– I’ll be feeling better just in time for SKI SEASON!
– I’ll also be feeling better for finals
– My Mom is the best at-home nurse you could ever have
– Though my roomie is sad that I won’t be around, we agreed to skype tons!
– I’ve gone a full year PLUS without needing a cleanout, that right there is cause for celebration!
