Here are my top 5 songs on my running playlist that are guaranteed to get me through my toughest runs!

1) Shut it Down, Pitbull featuring Akon– “Can’t nothin hold me down, baby I know how to fly. Can’t nothin hold me down baby I’ll touch the sky” The high tempo and chorus are enough to get me up the steepest hill or get me through a grueling last mile on a hot day. Interestingly, this is the song that ends up coming on my shuffle when I most need it (thanks to my Nana: DJ in the sky)

2) Born this Way, Lady Gaga– Anyone who’s heard this song can understand how inspiring it is. Gaga’s all about embracing who you are, and when I’m running with cf in the back of my mind, its easy to let that get the best of me. But when this song comes on I’m inspired to keep running regardless of cf’s clutches on my lungs! I was born with cf, but that doesn’t mean it can slow me down!!!

3) More, Usher– Okay, this song rocks. “Gonna push it to the limit give me more.” Thats just what ya gotta do when you’re running for miles and miles. Usher reminds me to keep pushing it, even when I don’t want to anymore. Not to mention, the beat of this song goes perfectly with my regular pace 🙂

4) Here it goes, OK GO– Watch the Video Here! In this music video, the band does this crazy choreographed dance on Treadmills! The song is so much fun to run to as you picture them on the treadmills doing their thang.

5) On the Floor– J. Lo and Pitbull- I don’t care how mainstream this song is, its great to pump you up. It turns your run into a dance party, someone riding by on the street might catch me actually dancing while running whenever this song comes on…

I love to update my playlist whenever I can, so what do you listen to when you’re working out?! Comment below!
